On July 13 and 14, the exhibition spaces of the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan hosted Lineapelle New York.
Lineapelle New York has officially opened the 23/24 winter season, declining the first creative steps of the new collections while waiting for the appointments in London and Milan, scheduled for September 6 and September 20-22 respectively.
This edition of the International Exhibition of Leathers, Accessories, Components, Fabrics, Synthetics and Models hosted 119 companies from all over the world, including 91 tanneries, 8 manufacturers of accessories and components, 13 manufacturers of fabrics and synthetic materials, 7 manufacturers of chemical products and others.
From the first creative steps of the autumn-winter 2023-2024 fashion collections, a clear desire to search for new stylistic models emerged, focusing on the circular economy and the green power that characterizes Italian leather and craftsmanship.
The trend of winter 23/24 will therefore be the circular economy that will see as protagonists reuse, technologies to increase the performance of materials, the development of undyed and timeless processes, but also combinations of "ultra-smooth and reflective" materials and solutions that "reconsider the grain of materials, to make them more vibrant".
In addition to dictating the style of the upcoming collections, the event hosted exclusive One To One Meetings with customers and stakeholders entitled Responsible Italian Leather Lounge through which global standards of responsibility were defined and the need for increasingly sustainable production was underlined.
