The beating heart of our company resides in the manual skills of its manufacturers and the craftsmanship of its items. These peculiarities are the expression of human creativity. Without them and their art and mastery, no handicraft would exist. That's why we are constantly engaged in projects safeguarding the health of our craftsmen, of the citizens of the tanning district in which we operate and, consequently, of the surrounding environment.
Our care about environmental protection has led us to develop a great project through which, in the foreseeable future, we will be able to make the company produce its own energy totally by itself.
Our ambitious plan for energetic self-sufficiency started out in 2010, when we decided to build our first photovoltaic system. Since then, we have never stopped believing in this project and, thanks to the continuous expansion of renewable energy production plants, our goal seems increasingly less far away.
However, our commitment is not limited to the building of photovoltaic systems. In addition, we run a constant work of search by which we hope to reach a further improvement of our energy efficiency and, consequently, to optimise energy consumption.
About that, we have now implemented an advanced system of mixing and dosing the water used during the tanning process: this is the so-called Water Mixing and Dosing System, by which we can optimize the tanning and retanning processes using 20-30% less water.
Furthermore, the wet section will be renewed with innovative cask-systems designed to reduce the consumption of water and energy and, consequently, the processing times.
Thanks to this ambitious project made of research and innovation, we are also hoping to further improve and become a role model for all those companies that pay attention to environmental protection and human protection.
